Community Partnerships

Career Speaker Series

UPK5CCS exposes its students to professionals within the greater Pittsburgh area through their signature Career Speaker Series. Our guest speakers give students an insight on how they became successful within their current or past occupations. Students are able to ask questions of the speaker resulting in a viable discussion.

College & Career Day Fair

Research shows that the earlier you engage kids with the idea of attending college, the more likely they will attend. To show our commitment to this theory, each of the 13 classrooms here at Urban Pathways adopted a college and/or university at the beginning of the school year. Each week they learned fun facts, school chants, and other unique things about their adopted college or university. The College & Career Day Fair will be an annual culminating event to celebrate all of our student’s college and career discoveries throughout the school year.

Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School prides itself on our community partnerships. Our school is located in downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. We continue to make huge strides in developing, nurturing, and sustaining community partnerships. It is vital for our students to understand the concept of networking and how strong community partnerships can lead to a Win-Win. Below we have listed some of our many community partnerships.
