  • April 1st – 3rd – Marbles Program for 4th and 5th grades
  • April 3rd – Picture Day – Dress Up Day ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO PAY FOR PICTURES
  • April 3rd – Sarah Heinz House – KG and canned goods donation winner (wear tennis shoes)
  • April 3rd – Public Lottery for KG enrollment and school year 2019-20 waiting list for 1st through 5th grades beginning at 5:30 pm
  • April 5th – First Friday Celebration (students may wear their uniform school pants along with their adopted HBCU color shirt)
  • April 6th – Saturday Tutoring for 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades only, 9:00am – 12 noon
  • April 9th – 11th – PSSA – ELA Grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th
  • April 9th – PAC Meeting at 6:00 – 7:00pm, ATP Strategic Meeting starts at 5:00 pm
  • April 11th – PAC Recap Meeting at 2:45 pm
  • April 13th – Saturday Tutoring for 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades only, 9:00am – 12 noon
  • April 15th – PAC Popcorn Money Due!
  • April 16th – 3rd Grade Final Round of Spelling Bee (invitations will be sent to finalists)
  • April 17th – Sarah Heinz House – 4th and 5th (wear tennis shoes)
  • April 17th – 2nd Grade Field Trip to the National Aviary
  • April 17th – Board Meeting K-5, 5:00 pm
  • April 18th, 19th, & 22nd – NO SCHOOL, Spring Break

Profile– I graduated from Citizens’ School of Nursing in 2009 and immediately began working at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. I always had a passion to work as a school nurse so I furthered my education and graduated with my Bachelors’ of Nursing from Penn State New Kensington in 2012 and then my School Nurse Certificate from Slippery Rock University in 2017.
I started my first certified position at Urban Pathways K-5 in the 2017-2018 school year and am still employed at West Penn Hospital.
